Ready, Set, ROCK IT!

Ah I can still hear the bells in the distance… but those Christmas bells have been put away and it is time to hit the campus again at Slippery Rock!

Getting back to the Rock this week was bittersweet at first.  I loved my long, month break in Cleveland where I had many opportunities to chill, read, and make some cash to spend at the outlets when I returned to Cleveland.  Hehe. Along with hanging with the family and babysitting over break, I also got the opportunity to shadow an occupational therapist and a physical therapist in different parts of Cleveland.  Both these opportunities showed me that YES I do want to work in the therapy profession, helping people recover from injuries through exercise and various other techniques.  One of the awesome parts of these shadowing experiences was that the physical therapist I shadowed is a Slippery Rock graduate! It was really good to hear how her education here at the Rock shaped her professional career as a sports medicine physical therapist! She absolutely loves SRU and has nothing but great things to say about her experience here! I fully agree with her because 100% my two years here at Slippery Rock have been nothing amazing! The friends, professors, and opportunities have shaped me into the strong leader and hard worker I am today!

Now back at school I am getting my books and binders ready for classes while catching up with my friends about their breaks and upcoming semesters.  Tonight I am going to a huge pick-up Volleyball game in the ARC (our rec center) with a group of people from Campus Crusade and the Resident Halls.  It should be a blast and I can’t wait to get my Game On!

Hope all is well with you and yours!

Until next time… Keep Shining!

Kaitlin 🙂
