Everyone Loves a Field Trip!

Where is one place where it is legal to walk around a room looking at dead bodies for a whole two hours? ……… Can you think of it yet? ……………. How about now?

Well if you’re still clueless I guess I’ll tell you! The BODIES EXHIBIT in Cleveland Ohio!

Yep two weekends ago the Pre-Physical Therapy club journeyed to Cleveland via coach buses to see the world-famous Bodies Exhibit! Even though I live in Cleveland I never got the opportunity this summer with crazy work schedules to get downtown to see the exhibit so I was excited to say the least! After our two hour ride we arrived at the exhibit doors and I was ready to put my anatomy notes to real-life tests!
And the exhibit was AMAZING! Well if you like the whole dissection of body thing which I do! In those two hours I learned so much about the human body my head was racing! But in a good way! I would love to explain what I saw but honestly it is an once-in-a-lifetime experience that you can’t explain until you see it yourself! It was so cool seeing the bodies placed in positions to look like they were throwing footballs and shooting basketballs. The entire two hours were unbelievable and I really enjoyed being able to relate what I was learning in class to an awesome experience like this! If you have not seen the exhibit yet I would definitely recommend it, especially if you are interested in physical therapy or anything to do with the medical field. Oh and after the exhibit the Pre-PT Club paid for our lunch over in the Tower City mall! Overall the day was very rewarding and just another example of the many educational and fun opportunities that Slippery Rock offers to its students!

Well I hope you all had a great break- now it’s study time!
Keep Shining!
Kaitlin 🙂
